Card details stay with Stripe
Families pay through Stripe, which is certified PCI DSS Level 1. Campix never stores full card numbers.

I'm Ali, the founder of Campix. I've built software for more than 20 years: four years as a senior engineer at Shopify, and sixteen before that building applications for the Canada Border Services Agency, Health Canada and the Correctional Service of Canada.
Last summer I dropped my daughters off at a few different camps. Every camp ran check-in differently, and nearly all of it ran on paper: a clipboard, a printed roster, a signature scribbled while a line built up. Pickup was the same. That was the spark for Campix.

Common questions
Can we use Campix just for check-in and keep our current registration system?
Yes. Set a location to attendance-only mode and Campix skips public registration and payments entirely: you import your roster, and staff run check-in, check-out, and pickup from it. Attendance-only locations are available on Team+. You can turn registration and payments on later, per location, without moving anything.
Can I import campers and programs from another system?
Yes. Bulk import campers (with guardian contacts), programs, and counselors from a CSV file. You preview the import before it saves, and you can undo an import that looks off. Network includes a 2-hour founder-led onboarding that covers data import and payment setup.
Does the registration flow work on phones?
Yes. The public registration widget, waiver signing, and customer portal are mobile-first, so parents can register, sign waivers, and pay from a phone.
What if our internet drops during drop-off or pickup?
Download the roster and medical report from the program's Downloads menu before the day starts. If your connection drops, check children in and out on the printed roster.
Is Campix available in French?
Yes. The dashboard, public registration widget, waiver signing, and customer portal are fully bilingual, and guardian emails such as receipts, check-in and check-out notices, and verification codes send in the language the family registered in, or your organization’s language when that is not known.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new organization gets a 30-day Team trial, no credit card required. When it ends, Team features stay on for 3 more days, then you move to Solo limits unless you upgrade. Take $1,000 in payments through Campix before you upgrade and we add 14 days to your trial, once.

Do parents need an account to register?
No. Parents register through a public link, no login required. You collect camper details, emergency contacts, medical info, and waivers all in one flow.
What happens when a family cancels a paid registration?
Campix applies your refund policy, works out what the family is owed, and lists it as a pending refund. You issue the money from your own Stripe account, and the registration updates once Stripe reports the refund. For a refund you pay outside Stripe, use "Mark as refunded". The family gets a cancellation email.
Do you send email notifications?
Yes. Families get confirmations and cancellation notices automatically. You send payment reminders and waiver requests from Campix when you need them. On Team+ you can also send announcements to all families, or to one program or location.
Can we manage incidents, waivers and medications?
Yes, on every plan. Log incidents with type, severity, and follow-up actions. Create waiver templates, send them to families on demand, and track signing progress per registration. Keep each child's medications on file and record every dose with who gave it and when.
Do families get a receipt for tax time?
Yes. Families download a receipt for every paid registration from their portal. It shows your Business Number when you add one, and for Canadian child care programs it notes the child care expense line (21400).
What happens if I cancel?
No long-term contracts, cancel anytime from billing settings. Export everything you need before you cancel. After that, your account stays on Solo, where you can export campers and registrations as CSV.
