Camp attendance tracking with a live headcount and a full audit trail

A live roster, automatic no-show alerts, and a full audit trail for every check-in and check-out, across every program and location, updated the instant it happens.

A paper count cannot tell you who is on-site right now

Directors need to know who is on-site at any moment of the day, not only at drop-off.

  • A fire drill or emergency needs an accurate headcount in seconds, not after someone walks the building
  • A parent calls asking whether their child arrived, and the answer depends on which staff member you can track down
  • No-shows go unnoticed until a guardian asks why nobody called
  • Directors running more than one location call each site to find out who is where

Campix shows each camper’s attendance live on any device, and marks a camper as a no-show when they have not checked in by the grace period you set.

Everything you need, in one place

A live roster, not a snapshot

Every check-in and check-out updates instantly on every device in the building, so the headcount on screen is current.

Automatic no-show alerts

Set a grace period for each location. Once it passes after a program starts, the daily roster marks anyone who has not arrived as a no-show so staff can follow up, and you can choose to email the guardian.

A full audit trail

Every check-in, check-out, and undo is timestamped with the staff member who did it. When staff release a camper to someone not on the pickup list, the reason they chose is kept too. Use it to review an incident or answer a parent’s question.

Every location in one account

Directors running more than one site switch between locations from the sidebar to see each site’s live attendance, with no spreadsheet stitched together from separate exports.

Ask instead of counting

On the Team plan and up, CampMate, the built-in AI assistant, answers "how many kids are checked in right now" or "who has not arrived yet" instantly, with no report to run.

Registration in the same place

Campers who register in Campix land on the roster automatically. Already use another registration system? On the Team plan and up, import your campers from a CSV and keep registering there.

How it works

  1. 1Staff check campers in from the daily roster, or at a kiosk or by QR scan on the Team plan and up
  2. 2Attendance status updates live for every device: checked in, checked out, or not yet arrived
  3. 3Set a no-show grace period for each location. Once it passes, the daily roster marks anyone who has not arrived as a no-show
  4. 4Every check-in, check-out, and undo shows the time and the staff member who did it

Frequently asked questions

How does attendance work with more than one location?

Each location has its own live roster. Switch between locations from the sidebar to see who is checked in at each site.

How does the no-show alert work?

Set a grace period for each location, 30 minutes by default. Once it passes after a program starts with no check-in, the daily roster shows the camper as a no-show so staff can follow up. You can also have Campix email the guardian.

Can we pull an attendance report for a specific day or camper?

On the Team plan and up, export attendance to a CSV. Every check-in and check-out in it is timestamped, for incident reviews and audits.

Do we have to use Campix for registration too?

No. Campix includes registration, and campers who register there are on the roster automatically. To keep your current system, import your campers from a CSV and use Campix for attendance only, on the Team plan and up.

Can staff undo an accidental check-in?

Yes, within an undo window you set, 60 minutes by default.
